What Is Insomania

Insomnia is a sleep disorder in which you have difficulty falling asleep or find it hard to stay asleep or wake up too early and not be able to get back to sleep.

The condition can be acute or chronic and could also come and go.

Acute insomnia could last from one night to a few weeks. Insomnia is chronic when it happens at least 3 nights a week for three months or more.

Insomnia is very life-threatening if untreated and could progressively reduce the quality of life and cause severe mental and physical deterioration. These would impair the ability of the victim to concentrate, cause poor memory, and difficulty coping with irritations preceding or associated with depression and anxiety which could eventually lead to coma and death.
